ASPHO's Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Review Course
This course is designed for physicians planning to take the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) initial certifying examination in pediatric hematology/oncology as well as for those preparing for Part III of the ABP's Program for Maintenance of Certification (MOC) in the Pediatric Subspecialties (formerly known as the recertification examination). The course is also beneficial for fellows in training and practitioners who wish to review both the established standards of care and recent basic and clinical advances in pediatric hematology/oncology. The course content closely parallels the ABP content outline for pediatric hematology/oncology.
ASPHO's Review Course is offered biannually on a date established to precede by several weeks the biannual ABP certifying examination. The most recent Review Course was presented February 6-8 2009. Attendees can access the evaluation here.
In interim years, ASPHO also makes the Review Course lectures available online for remote access to provide a concentrated review for those preparing for the MOC Part III examination.
The course is developed and presented by the ASPHO Review Course Committee under the director of the course director, George Buchanan, MD.
